Abstract Expressionism according to the Webster dictionary is defined as "a development of abstract art that originated in New York in the 1940s and 1950s and aimed at subjective emotional expression with particular emphasis on the creative spontaneous act".
This was the first painting of a body of work I created starting in the winter February of 2014. With the study of color, mixing of acrylic paints with various mediums, I strive to create images that are brightly colored that contain content catering to a theme.
